Gov. Ralph Northam visited Morgan Olson in Danville Thursday morning to celebrate the opening and success of the facility so far.

Morgan Olson closed on the former IKEA building at the end of March and had employees in and making trucks two and a half months later.

Today, they have 300 employees and are making 12 trucks per day.

Northam said that Danville is a “model” for the rest of the Commonwealth and the country for doing business.

“They are business friendly, concentrate on training the work force, use the tools that we have not only locally but on a statewide basis to help these businesses move here, get started and be successful,” Northam said.
