Log truck crash

A log truck crash in Pittsylvania County is under investigation by the Virginia State Police.

Around 9 a.m. Monday morning, first responders were dispatched to Old Richmond Road for an overturned log truck. 

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred near the intersection of Old Richmond Road and Keeling Drive.

According to officials at the scene, first responders arrived to find logs thrown from the truck, and the driver appeared to be uninjured. 

Trooper N. Keister is investigating what caused the crash.

The eastbound lane of Old Richmond Road is blocked, and crews are on scene directing traffic.
