Virginia Cooperative Extension

The Virginia Cooperative Extension – Pittsylvania/Halifax County is hosting a workshop focusing on Agriculture Policy and Trade, Thursday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex, in Chatham.

Issues facing producers such as tariffs, local/state policy, international trade and the Farm Bill will be addressed. Knowing the emphasis needed in these areas, the workshop is designed to dig deeper into the subsoil of the topic and desire to cultivate questions while providing answers to producers.

Based on events of recent months and the major impact those decisions are making on the Agriculture Community, the Virginia Cooperative Extension has acquired assistance to provide clarification to any Ag Policy and Trade question. Dr. Ford Ramsey, Agriculture and Applied Economics, Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech, will be the presenter and is eager to answer any questions area producers may have.

A meal will be provided to all who attend. To register call 434-432-7770.
