State police have released the name of the victim of the June 11 homicide that occurred in a home on Mt. Cross Road. 

Xochil Ochoa, 39, was found killed in a home in the 8600 block of Mt. Cross Road last Thursday. State police have not released any additional information.

The suspect, which was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital after being shot by Pittsylvania County deputies after refusing to disarm himself at the scene, has yet to be charged. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
