Coronavirus update

Update: The Virginia Department of Health today reported the fourth and fifth test confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in the Pittsylvania-Danville Health District.

The patients are female Danville City area residents in their 70s. They are self-isolating at home. 

Update March 27: The Virginia Department of Health now reports 604 cases of COVID-19 in Virginia, with two more cases now reported in Danville. There is still one reported case in Pittsylvania County. 

In Virginia there have been 83 hospitalizations and 14 deaths related to COVID-19. 

Original March 26: According to the Virginia Department of Health website, Pittsylvania County shows a confirmed case of COVID-19. Danville remains at two cases. Overall Virginia cases stand at 460 confirmed cases, with 65 hospitalizations and 13 deaths.
