GREENSBORO — A Danville man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Greensboro, North Carolina Saturday, Sept. 7. 

On Saturday at approximately 3:13 p.m. Warren Lee Pettis, 76, of Danville, was attempting to walk across West Wendover Avenue near Edwardia Drive.

According to public information officer Ronald Glenn with the Greensboro Police Department, there was no cross walk.

Pettis was struck by a 2013 Toyota Tundra driven by Mr. Ronald Ray McKenzie (64 yr. old) of Greensboro.

Pettis was transported to Moses Cone Hospital and died a short time after arrival due to the injuries sustained at the crash.

The investigation is ongoing with Greensboro Crash Reconstruction.
