COVID Update: July 10, 2020

Nearly 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Virginia since yesterday, according to the Virginia Department of Health.

This marks the biggest daily spike of reported cases in the state in nearly two months, since 1,053 cases were reported on May 21.

Pittsylvania County and Danville each reported two new cases today, with no hospitalizations.

Statewide, 68,931 cases have been reported, with 6,675 hospitalizations and 1,958 deaths.

Twenty-one people died of COVID-19 since yesterday in Virginia.
