May 19: The Virginia Department of Health is now reporting two new cases of COVID-19 in Pittsylvania County, bringing the total number of county cases to 26. 

Cases in Danville remain unchanged at 44. The numbers of hospitalizations and deaths in the Pittsylvania-Danville health district remain unchanged as well. 

In Virginia, 32,145 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, over 1000 more since yesterday. Diagnostic tests now number 201,183, with the same 14.9 percent positivity rate. 

Additionally, 3,904 people have been hospitalized with the virus and 1,041 people have died with the virus.
