Kasey Phelps Patterson Pruitt

Kasey Phelps Patterson Pruitt of Java, Virginia, passed away on February 5, 2020. She was born on March 30, 1981, to Vickie Mae Trammell Phelps and Michael Lee Phelps in Danville, Virginia. She is survived by her husband Bobbie Lee Pruitt.

Kasey attended County Line Baptist Church and worked as the Clerk Assistant for the Clerk of Court in Halifax County. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters McKenzie Lake Patterson and Savannah Brooke Patterson, her stepdaughter Anna Leigh Pruitt, her brother Mikey Phelps, her nephew Colton Michael Phelps, her grandmother Sarah Phelps, and her special dog George. She is predeceased by her grandparents Mac Phelps, Shirley Shelton, Carl Shelton, and Manual Trammell.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Norris Funeral Services’ Mt Hermon Chapel with Pastor Mike McDowell officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the same location. The family will also receive guests at the residence at other times. Interment will follow at a later date at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Riceville Java Volunteer Fire Department (434-432-8623) and the Danville/Pittsylvania County Cancer Association (http://www.danpittcancer.org 434-791-3227).
