Rodney Glenn Doss, 69, of 2128 Hollywood Road Chatham, Va., entered into the loving arms of his Savior on January 11, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on December 2, 1949, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late Luther Gordon Doss and the late Helen Moore Doss.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Easome Doss.

He was a member of Marion Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam war and loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Stacey Doss Dow of Danville; A son, Bradley Glenn Doss (Amanda) of Chatham; A step-son, Billy Pearson, III (Margaret) of Gretna; a step-daughter, Hollie Stack Adams (Josh) of Chatham; Grandchildren, Hannah and Lydia Dow, Lathan and Sophie Doss, Samantha and Stokely Adams, and Aiden Pearson; a sister-in-law, Ruby Doss; a niece, Kelly Doss; and his beloved dog, Bujacque.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry L. Doss.

Funeral services will be conducted at Marion Baptist Church on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Henry M. Meadows Jr. and Pastor Terry St. John officiating.

Burial will follow at Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends at Marion Baptist Church on Tuesday January 15, 2019 and at other times at the residence of Bradley and Amanda Doss, 2240 Hollywood Road Chatham, Va.

Scott Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Chatham is serving the Doss family.
