Before the George Washington High School Eagles faced the Halifax County Comets Friday, Oct. 18, the visitors concession stand was dedicated in memory of Harrison “Bubba” Brown.

He was a member of the G.W. fan club and dedicated volunteer for 32 years.

The plaque reads, “Celebrating the life of long time football fan club member Harrison Bubba Brown. We do it for ‘my boys,’ dedicated October 18, 2019.”

Brown died on Feb. 2, 2019 at 84. He was married to the late Priscilla Adams Brown.

“This means the world to me because he loved his family and he loved G.W. If there was anything he could do for the boys, he would,” Stan Brown, son of Bubba Brown said.
