Lady Cavaliers

Chatham High School’s Lady Cavaliers traveled to Bassett for the first basketball game of the 2019-2020 season. 

The junior varsity team lost to the Bengals 38-32.

Duchess Rodgers scored 22 points for the Cavaliers.

The varsity team defeated Bassett 47-20. Sophomore sensation Quanadra Tunstall had 13 points, eight steals, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Nysheia Miller had 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Senior Keslee Hylton had 10 points and three rebounds.

Charity Wilson had eight points and three steals.

The Lady Cavaliers will host Patrick County Wednesday.

For cross country, Caleb Wright competed in the senior boys division of the Foot Locker South Regional last Saturday.  

Wright finished 27 of 302 runners from across the south in the 5,000-meter run.
