Lynchburg's E.C. Glass appeared shatterproof at J.T. Christopher Stadium Friday night, Oct. 4 in Danville with a 49-15 win over the Eagles.
Coming off a huge win in Dry Fork, the Eagles won the kickoff against the Hilltoppers, but couldn't produce a score during the first quarter.
The Hilltoppers scored on their first drive of the game early in the first quarter, and never looked back.
Hilltoppers quarterback Dresean Kendrick, 278 yards total, found numerous openings in the Eagles defense to score three touchdowns during the game.
It wouldn't be until the second quarter GW got on the board with a roughly 65-yard rushing touchdown by Willie Edmunds.
Glass was up 21-7 going into Halftime.
The Eagles looked to capitalize early on, but wouldn't score again until the fourth quarter.
Glass more than doubled their score in the second half, winning the game 49-15.
GW had under 300 yards for the game — the lowest amount during the 2019 season.
Glass (5-0) takes on Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg on Oct. 11.
GW (3-2) travels to Stuart, Virginia on Oct. 11 to take on Patrick County.
