Football contest

The Chatham Star-Tribune is once again kicking off its yearly football contest. Community members will put their knowledge of NFL and collegiate football to the test for real cash prizes awarded every week.

Each week, participants will predict the winners of our selected match-ups in the NFL, ACC, SEC and Big 12. Write the number of the team you choose to win beside the game number on the entry form.

The deadline for entries is 4 p.m. each Friday.

Tickets can be submitted at drop-boxes located around our community – at the Star-Tribune office on Main Street in Chatham, Mama Possum's on Franklin Turnpike, Frank's Pizza at the Tightsqueeze plaza in Chatham, Chasity's Cafe on Kentuck Road, Carini's on Route 29 in Blairs, Western Auto in Gretna, and Mill's Grocery on Mt. Cross Road.

Employees and immediate families of Womack Publishing, Star-Tribune and all other Womack newspapers are not eligible to compete.

The contestant with most correct answers each week will win $50. The runner-up each week will win $25.

Ties between contestants will be broken by using total points in tiebreaker games.

Winners will be announced in the following week’s issue of the Star-Tribune. Only one entry per person per week will be accepted.

No photocopies or electronic entries are accepted. Contestants must use the official entry form taken directly from a copy of the Star-Tribune.

Subscribe to the Star-Tribune or pick up a copy at your local vendor starting tomorrow to participate in the action.
