Details for Town of Gretna Notice of Water and Sewer Rates

NOTICE

Pursuant to the authority of Section 15.2-2109 and Section 15.2-2111 of the Code of Virginia on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 12:15 p.m., the Town Council of Gretna, Virginia will hold a public hearing in the Town Hall of the Town of Gretna, Virginia at 107 South Shelton Street, Gretna, Virginia 24557 to consider public comment on the proposed amendment and re-enactment of Title 5, Section 5-1-11 and Title 5, Section 5-2-55 of the Code of the Town of Gretna dealing with proposed water and sewer rates for fiscal year 2020-2021 in connection with the delivery of water and sewer services to utility customers of the Town of Gretna as set forth hereinbelow.

Water Rates:

Current- In Town: $53.73 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$5.31 per 1,000 gallons excess

Current Out of Town: $107.46 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$8.23 per 1,000 gallons excess

Proposed-In Town: $53.73 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$5.31 per 1,000 gallons excess

Proposed Out of Town: $107.46 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$8.23 per 1,000 gallons excess

Sewer Rates:

Current- In Town: $34.09 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$3.65 per 1,000 gallons excess

Out of Town- $68.17 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$7.30 per 1,000 gallons excess

Proposed- In Town: $34.09 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$3.65 per 1,000 gallons excess

Proposed Out of Town- $68.17 bi-monthly for first 6,000 gallons

$7.30 per 1,000 gallons excess

The public is invited to attend and comment of the proposed passage of the aforesaid ordinance(s) which shall be considered for adoption by the Town Council at the conclusion of the public hearing. Copies of the proposed ordinance(s) are available for public inspection at the Town Hall of Gretna, Virginia.
