BLAIRS, Va. — With the East Coast's gasoline supply in question, Southside Virginia residents are beginning to panic.
"We are not out of gas yet, but we are running low without an ETA on a delivery," a Blairs Kangaroo manager told the Star-Tribune.
Gas prices at Kangaroo Express and most other local gas stations have jumped to almost $3 after offering in the $2.30s just last week.
Over the weekend, the Colonial Pipeline, which runs through Pittsylvania County, announced they were the victim of a cybersecurity attack and shut down the pipeline, which runs from Texas to New York Harbor.
At this time, some lateral lines have reopened, but there is no word of when the mainline, including the gasoline line, will be operational.
