Danville police GXX

Danville Police charged a Pittsylvania County man with reckless driving last night after he rolled his truck over on the highway.

Danville officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on the U.S. 29 bypass headed southbound at 7:15 p.m. last night, near the South Main Street exit.

Officers found a white 2010 Ford F-350 pickup truck that had lost control and flipped over.

The driver, 25-year-old Pittsylvania County resident Joshua Ratliff, was the sole occupant of the truck.

Ratliff was checked by first responders at the scene but declined additional medical treatment.

The truck was a total loss, recording damages in the ballpark of $13,000. There was no other property damage.

Ratliff was charged with reckless driving and then released.
