A new fast food restaurant could be heading to Danville soon, according to plans provided to Danville planning staff.
Last Tuesday, Terry Owens of PN Restaurants Inc appeared in front of the Danville Planning Commission, asking for a special use permit to reduce the side setbacks for a proposed dumpster enclosure and existing drive-up ATM resulting from a proposed land subdivision.
This subdivision is a step in the development of a fast food restaurant in Riverside Shopping Centre.
In a special use permit plan provided in the planning commission’s packet, the building shown is labeled as “Popeyes.” A general note says that the special use permit plan is based upon a land title survey by Bohler Engineering, entitled “Popeyes 3230 Riverside Drive, City of Danville, Virginia.”
Owens was unable to be reached for comment.
In addition, Becky Frye of Dave’s Construction Service, Inc based in Eden confirmed the company is inviting interested subcontractors to submit bids for a Popeyes project in Danville.
