God's Storehouse

God’s Storehouse in Danville announced today that they will host a Drive-Thru Drop Off Food Drive Saturday, July 25 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Their annual event, Stamp Out Hunger/Letter Carrier food drive will not be happening this year due to the current global pandemic. Last year, they collected more than 32,800 pounds of food at this event. That food is necessary for the increased summer demand. During COVID-19, their food donations decreased by 45 percent.

The Drive-Thru Drop Off Food Drive is a limited contact and safe way to donate food. Many stocked up on non-perishable items during quarantine that could be donated.

Some groups will be collecting food in their neighborhoods. Volunteers will pass out flyers with that information.

Contact God’s Storehouse if you are interested in collecting in your neighborhood.
