Chaplains

The Danville Police Department would like to welcome Ernest Coppage and Scott Spalding to their Chaplain Unit.

Coppage and Spalding were sworn in this morning and they join Senior Chaplain G.H. Vaughan.

Danville Police Department Chaplains serve on a volunteer basis and their mission is to provide counseling or emotional support to members of the Department, their families and members of the public.

The department recruits chaplains on an ongoing basis. A primary qualification for participation in the application process should be an interest in and an ability to assist the Department in serving the public.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about becoming a chaplain with the department can contact the Services Division Training Section at 434-799-6520 Option 4.
