CHATHAM, Va. — Chatham High School's Forestry Judging team travelled to Covington to complete in the state forestry contest.

Team members Cole Oakes, Jordan Elliott, Holden Mills and Davis Ince had to measure and price standing trees, identify trees and equipment and interpret information from a series of maps.

Cole Oakes earned the sixth highest individual score for the contest.

Chatham Middle School's forestry team also won third in the state.
