Chatham High School's varsity baseball team lost to Lebanon 4-0 in the semifinal game of the state tournament.

Lebanon pitcher Andrew Buchanan, who will continue his baseball career at the University of Virginia, threw a one-hitter. Carrington Aaron spoiled the no-hitter with a single in the bottom of the seventh inning.

A leadoff double followed by a couple errors allowed Lebanon to score a run in the first inning. Buchanan helped his cause with a three-run home run in the third inning. One of the runs was cancelled by a heads-up play by Chatham. Buchanan was unable to touch home plate when his teammates mobbed him after the homerun.

Chatham won the appeal making the score 3-0.  Lebanon added another run in the sixth inning with a solo homer.

Chatham ends the season with a 15-1 record. The Cavaliers are district and region champions.
