WARFIELD, Va. — New York City officials recently tracked a group of car thieves as they barreled at almost 100 miles per hour down Interstate 95 from New York City to Southside Virginia.

Three New York-based car bandits stole a Ford F-250 from the New York City Parks Department last month, the New York Daily News first reported this morning.

Sharmie Middleton, 44, Isiah Pough-Joseph, 28, and Jordan Walden, 28, made it through New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia before police made arrests in Brunswick County.

The three were all charged with grand theft auto felonies, good for years of prison time apiece.
