President Donald Trump this afternoon released a statement condemning violence from either side of the aisle.

"In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind," Trump said. "This is not what I stand for, and this is not what America stands for"

State officials have already begin to close off and barricade the Capitol Square in Richmond in anticipation of such demonstrations.

"This is not what I stand for, and this is not what America stands for," Trump said. "I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank you."

The statement came from the Office of the Press Secretary, being as Trump's presence on virtually every conventional social media platform has been erased.
